Popelyaeva Polina Artemievna
Polina Artemievna Popelyaeva was born in 1902 and lived in Vitebsk with her husband and two children. Before war, she knew the Jewish family of Moses and Anna war, she knew the Jewish family of Moses and Anna Zaretsky. On July 11, 1941, German troops entered Vitebsk. Moses and Anna Zaretsky caught in the ghetto with their 14-ages son Yuri.

Mother Yuri persuaded him run away from ghetto at all, but he decided to share his sadness fate with his relatives. He had to go out. On the way to be shot apparently out of pity, the police pushed him out of the truck. Yuri returned to Popelyaev and stayed at three houses for about two weeks .He had to hide, as the neighbor and accommodations knew this person bought documents which Yuri lived. At the end Yuri needed to go to the wandir .
